Durable & Stunning Epoxy Flooring

MSC Epoxy Floors is an Atlanta based company specializing in garage floor resurfacing.  While epoxy is primarily what we install,  MSC offers other types of floor coatings as well, such as polyaspartic, metal flake, and polyurea.  These are other options should the conditions of your concrete need an alternative to epoxy.  We will go over all options with your free consultation.

What is Epoxy Flooring?

Epoxy garage flooring is a durable, high-performance surface coating made from a combination of resin and hardener. When applied to concrete, it forms a tough, seamless layer that protects the floor from wear, stains, chemicals, and moisture. Known for its sleek, semi-gloss finish, epoxy flooring not only enhances the look of your garage but also provides a long-lasting, low-maintenance surface that withstands heavy use.

Why Epoxy Flooring?

Lasting Durability

Resistant to heavy impacts, chemicals, stains, and abrasions, epoxy floors are built to last.

Low Maintenance

Epoxy’s smooth, non-porous surface makes it easy to clean and maintain.

Slip Resistant

Customizable textures offer increased safety, making your garage safer for everyday use.

Visual Appeal

With a variety of colors, finishes, and designs, your garage floor will look sleek and professional.

Surface Preparation

The first and most important step is preparing the garage floor. Simply cleaning the surface is not enough. MSC Epoxy Floors will grind the surface to expose new porous concrete. This will ensure that a proper bond is created. Any cracks or imperfections in the concrete are repaired and sanded to a smooth surface.

Base Coat Application

Once the surface is prepped, a base coat of tinted epoxy is applied. This seals the concrete and provides the perfect surface for the next steps to follow.

Polymer Flake Broadcasting

Before the base coat is cured and is still “tacky”, we will broadcast colored flakes throughout the entire surface. The flakes are then scraped and vacuumed, leaving a smooth surface to receive the final layer.

Topcoat Application

Once the epoxy is cured and the flakes are scraped, we will apply a clear polyaspartic topcoat. This topcoat protects from oil/chemical spills, UV, and provides a beautiful semi-gloss finish.
